About us
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has quickly become a new treatment option for depression since it was approved for clinical use by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2018. The Taiwan Clinical TMS Society (TCTMSS) was established in September 2021 with the goal of bringing together medical professionals from various fields across Taiwan to jointly develop the clinical application of TMS. This platform allows practitioners to gain the latest knowledge, exchange clinical experiences, and enhance their treatment skills, thereby promoting the steady development of this emerging therapy.
The purpose of establishing this association:
- Raise the awareness of TMS in the general public
- Facilitate the exchange of clinical experience regarding TMS application
- Publish newsletters, books, audio- and video- materials regarding TMS treatment
- Hold regular symposiums and training programs for TMS and other NIBS.
- Connect with international TMS societies for academic and clinical collaboration

How to become a member of TCTMSS?
Membership in the TCTMSS requires a strong passion for research, implementation, and promotion of NIBS brain stimulation treatments. Members should actively participate in the society's affairs, engage in working groups, and collaborate closely with board members and other members.
Membership in the society is by invitation only. Prospective members must be recommended by two board members and approved during the quarterly board meetings.
If you are interested in becoming a TCTMSS member, please first join as a Friend of the Society. Each December, the board invites Friends who are enthusiastic about participating in the society's activities and are willing to contribute to the society's work to become members, working together to advance brain stimulation therapy development in Taiwan.
